Medical Center 6k…..
Didn’t really expect miracles but I thought given the short distance that I could at least race somewhat without blowing up. The race went out a bit slower than I thought but I wanted to race as even as I could so mile 1 was 5:18. I was comfortable and I was moving past people up until some of the rolling hills. I thought I would feel better but I didn’t. Coming off the hills I really couldn’t manage to open up my stride to chase anybody down. My right calf just won’t allow it right now. I looked up and saw Jim Pawlicki and Ben up ahead and they seemd to be coming back to me so I pushed up to Ben and we raced until Ben put in a surge going downhill. He gapped me and that is how we finished. Today everything feels o.k. My calf is sore but I can train.
