Goat Path
I only managed 3 runs last week and one of them was an hour effort on the roads. One of the reasons why it was only 3 runs is because that hour on hard pavement kicked the crap out of my right hip/glute area. I realize it’s piroformis but damn it will not go away. So I have found myself at Lynn Woods doing some runs in there because it’s an easy 7 mile drive. Some of my best racing experiences have been the August relays there. I am part of the masters course record with Dunham, Verrington, and Quintal with a 55 and change run of 2.5 miles x4. It’s a solid record and I think my 13:18 as a master will be tough to take down. Maybe I can get a chance to lower it some day. My best ever run there is a 13:10 but the toughest run there was when I was asked to do 2 legs. I ran the first leg I think in 13 low and then ran the anchor leg for another team and ran around 14:00. It hurt like hell and I remember my legs the next day were a mess. Anyway, I was over there again today. It’s nice and hilly in there which actually feels better than running on flat ground…..go figure.
P.S.
Yankees suck
